COLLABORATION INDIVIDUAL PROJECT

For this project I chose the image making brief where I was able to develop a meaningful concept through digital methods including: a website, zine and a lookbook. I created my own branding for the digital platform called Creative Collaborative Community, which allows people to take part in craft exercises on how to up-cyle old clothing as a form of therapy. Also, educating people on sustainability, especially the cotton industry and reducing the amount of people sending clothing to landfill. I specifically focused on young people who are socially isolated to try and improve their well-being. I collaborated with a charity, team Door 43 within Sheffield Futures, who support the emotional health and well-being of young people between the ages of 13-25. They uploaded one of my how to videos onto their social media pages to target a wider audience.Contacting various designers I was able to get their permission to interview them on their inspirations and use some of their artwork to print onto recycled t-shirts I own. This gave a new purpose to the t-shirts and I have showcased how these could be sold to raise money for charities, such as Door 43.
