COLLABORATION GROUP PROJECT
For this project we assigned ourselves into groups to produce a presentation relating to denim pollution. We all have the same values about denim, we believe in cutting down the levels of pollution created to make the fabric. Denim pollution is the effect on the environment caused by the manufacturing process of this in demand material. We have been looking into water consumption and dye waste effecting the environment. Levi’s is a point of interest to us as they have been working on developing a solution, a 70/30 blend of cotton and hemp to create the denim for the garments. This development into the denim industry uses 70% less water than indigo dying. We are getting our views across in our own creative way, to educate people further on the destructive impact of the denim industry. We are committed to working towards a sustainable future.
