My concept for this project was based off the 1968 Barberella film. The idea is based around Barberella's character being a sexy empowered female, playing the lead role which was an important theme in the 1960s, allowing women to feel sexually liberated.

I wanted to use innovative techniques like the laser cutter to develop new shapes referencing the clothes worn by my muse but also developing an outfit that fits a modern day version of herself.
