The FASHION DESIGN & TECHNOLOGY unit at Level 4 introduced me to the fundamental principles and techniques required for the creative exploration of fashion design and the associated material and manufacturing technologies, to develop a white shirt. I engaged in the process of analysing, designing, pattern cutting and manufacturing clothes. I explored a variety of primary and secondary sources for research, compiling the findings, and translating them both 2 and 3 dimensionally. Also practised a variety of techniques for communicating silhouette and detail through drawing, shape making, toiling, testing and sampling.
